Can You Save the Relationship?
Email this article
 Printer friendly page

There's no doubt about it. A relationship is work - lots of it. However, when it's going good, there's nothing else like it! When things are less than stellar, it can be one of the most difficult times in your life. If you feel like things are falling apart, you may wonder if there's anything you can do at all to save the relationship. You can, but it's going to take work.

Determine What Is Wrong

There are many reasons why a relationship may not go as you think it should. Perhaps that's part of the problem, though. Are you putting too many demands on the other party? Does everything need to go according to your plans? Is it vice versa? Is there a lack of intimacy or a need for too much? Do you sometimes feel like your partner "just doesn't get you?" It's time to take a long, hard look at how the two of you interact. Do you want to save the relationship or do you simply not want to give up? You have to answer this first!

Do Both of You Want to Save the Relationship?

If only one person really wants this to work, then it's probably not going to. It takes dedication, time, and energy to keep it all together. If you're not really sure if you want to save the relationship, then it's really time to move on. In fact, you probably already know that, but it's often hard to accept.

Yes! Save this Relationship!

If both of you want this to work, where do you go from here? The first step is determining that you and your partner are ready to do whatever is necessary to make it work. The second step is finding out how to do just that. For some people, just sitting down and talking at length may be enough. For others, it may require couple's therapy or at least some other type of outside help. If you have a strong faith, consider speaking to your minister or pastor. The way to save the relationship is different for every single couple and it may feel like it's nothing more than a trial and error process. In fact, that's just about the case.

In Closing

You have to be honest with yourself and with your partner on whether you want this to work. If you don't, then it's time to move on. Sticking around only makes things more difficult later on. Resentments begin to build up and unfortunately, it's not going to get any easier to leave. However, if you're ready to do your best to save the relationship, then it's time to sit down and talk.

Finally, the secrets are revealed on ways to save the relationship. You don't have to wonder if it's going to work any longer. I did it and we are now happily married with two kids. These secrets work and I've revealed these to you at http://www.howtosavearelationship.net.  You deserve to be happy!
